Some days in real estate, it’s like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces. Today, it was all about my conversation with Deborah, a sweet home seller whose cell reception was so bad, I felt like I was playing a game of telephone with a broken string! I was missing nearly every word, but I didn’t want to miss a single one because I knew how important this conversation was. I tried so hard to piece things together, asking her to repeat herself over and over, but the call dropped. 😵💫
Then came the text. Deborah thought I had hung up on her and didn’t value her time. It broke my heart. 🙃 I felt so helpless in that moment because the one thing that ignites my passion each day—helping homeowners transition to the next chapter of their lives—was slipping away. It was frustrating and sad, and yes, hurtful, knowing that she couldn’t see how hard I was trying to connect with her.
But then, like a little gift from the universe, my last call of the day brought the sunshine I needed! 🌞 Mariah and her fiancé, Justin, hopped on the phone, and despite my raspy voice (thanks, COVID!), they were pure joy. Mariah said, “I looked up your company and saved some of your posts and videos!” I could practically hear her smile through the phone. Then, she wrapped up the call with, “We’re looking forward to working with you!”
YES! 💛
These are the moments Jerry and I live for—helping homeowners move from one chapter of life into the next with confidence and care. Even on the tough days, moments like this remind us why we do what we do. No matter the bumps along the way, we’re here to make a difference. Haters gonna hate, but we’ll keep shining! 💛✨
